Ouch! That didn’t feel good!

Furn Talk Vol.4  7/2 9 /2019 @lfurns11 Twitter @lfurneri11 Instagram HEYYOOOOOO!!! Happy Monday to all my fellow baseball fans. Furn Talk, Vol. 4. Is coming your way RIGGGGGGHHHHHTTTTT NOW! There is a lot to talk about but  f irst we will talk about Non-Yankee News. As usual, we will talk about the Mets first. The Mets get Marcus Stroman for two pitching prospects their No.4 and No.6.  A ll I can say is ,  Why? The Mets just confirmed that one of their Starting Pitchers is leaving by getting Stroman. I guess the Mets are kind of close in the Wild Card Race, but they have a below .500 record. So, it doesn’t make sense to get one of the most highly coveted Trade Pieces in this upcoming deadline. It just does not make sense. The Mets NEED prospects and young talent ,  because the older former Yankees that the Mets keep getting just stink (Todd Frazier, Cano, Hechavarria, etc.). So, they give up  high  prospects to get an older Pitc...

Furn Talk Vol.3

Furn Talk Week 3 7/22/2019 @lfurns11 Twitter @lfurneri11 Instagram HEYYYOOOOO! Happy Monday Ladies and Gentlemen! This is Furn Talk Volume 3, here on this Monday Morning. But for us Yankees fans we are smiling ear to ear. More to come later. Boston Globe Picture In this week’s edition of Non-Yankee news, the NL East is an absolute disaster. The Mets lose on a pop-up walk off, ala Luis Castillo. Nothing new here, just another Mets season derailing right in front of our eyes. The entire division is an absolute joke aside from the Braves and Nationals (who would be destroyed if they played in any good division). This division has been lacking talent on both sides of the ball. In reality the only divisions worth even paying attention to are the Dodgers (Nobody else in the NL West matters), the AL West, and the AL East. I would bet a lot of money that the champion this year will come out of one of those divisions and the Dodgers. The NL Central has consistently underperfo...

Staying Hot in the 2nd Half

Furn Talk Week 2  7/15/2019 @lfurns11 Twitter @lfurneri11 Instagram New York Post Image Ladies and gentlemen Happy Monday! You’re probably dragging through your workday today, but hopefully I can provide you with just a little bit of life to make your Monday a little bit better. In non-Yankee news, the Mets finally have something to cheer for, Pete Alonso has undoubtedly had the best first half of any Mets rookie ever, and arguably one of the best Met first halves ever. This kid is special, and I hope that he can actually bring some life to an organization that has been deprived of talent. Denver Post Image Maybe this can spark the Mets to start a run in the second half in a mediocre NL East division. Jeff McNeil will hopefully stay hot and if Syndergaard and DeGrom actually show up, this team is still in the hunt, despite a poor first half, and getting swept by the 2 nd  worst team in the MLB (Marlins). Now onto the Yankees. Folks, there is a proble...

Yankees 1st Half Recap

Furn Talk Vol. 1 July 8, 2019 @lfurneri11 Instagram @lfurns11 Twitter Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls... Welcome to my first ever blog. Let me start off with a brief introduction. From Fairfield County, CT, Current Villanova Finance and Business Analytics Student. Die Hard Yankee fan since 2004. There are only 4 things in life that matter to me. God/Family/Friends, Money, Food, and THE NEW YORK YANKEES . I have watched some form of every game either on Live TV, in person, or very rarely in highlights. I have been doing this for years and I wanted an avenue to publish my thoughts. This is going to be a weekly blog summing up the week of baseball with my own takes and reviewing our outlook for the next couple of weeks. So lets jump right into it. Let me start off by saying that this team has been nothing short of spectacular and surprising. I always knew we had the talent to perform at a high level.  But with the plethora of injuries that we have endured thi...
